Welcome to the Subsea Systems and Components course.

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to subsea oil and gas systems – the complex technology that enables offshore energy production thousands of meters below the ocean surface.

You will learn how each subsystem, from the wellhead to the control room, works together to deliver hydrocarbons safely and efficiently.

You will:

• Understand the architecture of Subsea Production Systems, abbreviated as SPS, and how each component functions in offshore oil and gas operations.

• Identify and describe key elements such as X-trees, manifolds, PLETs, PLEMs, jumpers, pipelines, and risers.

• Explore the Subsea Distribution System, or SDS, including umbilicals, flying leads, subsea control modules, UTAs, and TUTUs.

Through clear explanations, animations, and practical examples, you will explore:

• The structure and operation of subsea production systems.

• The role and components of subsea distribution systems.

• Interfaces between subsea infrastructure and surface facilities.
